How to Stake SOL on Solana with xLabs — Staking Guide
Non-Custodial Solana Staking with xLabs
Staking is a core mechanism of the Solana network, allowing participants to help secure consensus while earning protocol rewards. By delegating SOL to a validator, token holders contribute to Solana’s decentralization and operational resilience without relinquishing custody of their assets.
xLabs was the first Solana validator established in Argentina and remains one of only a few validators operating in South America. Expanding validator representation in underrepresented regions strengthens the network and contributes to long-term decentralization across global infrastructure.
Delegating SOL to xLabs is fully non-custodial. Tokens remain under your control at all times and can be unstaked or redelegated according to Solana’s epoch rules. Below, you’ll find step-by-step instructions and wallet-specific videos demonstrating how to delegate using commonly used Solana wallets.
Staking via Web Interface
You can stake your SOL directly through the xLabs web interface:
This dashboard lets you connect a Solana-compatible wallet and delegate your SOL to the xLabs validator to earn staking rewards. It provides a streamlined, web-based staking experience, allowing you to manage your SOL delegation securely while retaining full control of your assets and private keys.

Why Stake SOL with xLabs
Delegating to xLabs supports decentralization while earning competitive staking rewards. xLabs runs a highly competitive validator with 0% MEV commission, so delegators keep more of their staking rewards.
xLabs operates a high-performance Solana validator focused on reliability, transparency, and long-term network health.
Requirements Before Staking
Before staking SOL, make sure you have:
- SOL tokens in your wallet
- A supported wallet such as Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack
- A small amount of SOL available for transaction fees
- An understanding that staking and unstaking actions occur on epoch boundaries
How Solana Staking Rewards Work
Staking rewards on Solana are determined by protocol inflation, total network stake, and validator performance. Rewards are automatically added to the stake account and compound over time unless withdrawn.
Unstaking requires a deactivation request and completes at the end of the current epoch. During this time, staked SOL does not earn rewards and cannot be transferred.
Monitoring Your Stake
Once active, your stake can be monitored directly from your wallet. You will be able to view the delegated amount, current status, and accumulated rewards. Rewards are reflected in the stake account balance rather than as separate transactions.
